Forgotten Attachment Detector now supports Arabic, German and Japanese
It’s been quite a while since we released the Forgotten Attachment Detector (FAD) outlook add-in. We have been closely listening to your feedback and suggestions and have managed to gather significant data as a result. Thank you all for your valuable input!
One of the most requested features for FAD was to support languages other than English. In fact, our data indicated that users already figured out a way of using FAD for other languages by adding keywords specific to those languages in the keyword list. Unfortunately, FAD was not set up to be used this way and resulted in more false positives.
Today I am excited to announce a new release of FAD that supports three additional languages – Arabic, German and Japanese. I have chosen these three languages for the unique and diverse challenges they present in localization, obviating the need to support any additional languages. Along with localization support, this release contains several performance enhancements and a few bug fixes. Get the new version here.
I would like to express my gratitude towards Abhishek Chanda, David Speirs and Outlook team for their invaluable contribution to this release.
FAD also works with Office 2010. If you haven’t explored Office 2010 yet, try it here and explore some of the new capabilities such as conversation view, Outlook Social Connector, and Quick Steps.
Please keep your great feedback coming in our forum and thanks again for trying FAD.

Multi language

Hi,

i am German, but have an English office 2010 and installed. Now the FAD only checks for English words. I guess you check for the current language and make the appropriate keywords available.
Maybe it is better to activate all languages, because I write some mails in English, some in German.

Nice program though :)

Cheers,
Florian

Cyrillic languages

Hi! This is a very neat plug-in, thanks. Any plans to support Russian, Ukrainian or other Cyrillic languages?

blank FAD windows

Windows XP Professional with Outlook 2007 (both German versions):

Everytime I try to open FAD it simply gives me a blank window. The add-on is active. Changing all other add-ons to inactive does not help.

Any suggestions/comments?
